The FBI has gotten involved in the search of a Utah teenager who disappeared almost two weeks ago while visiting family in Mexico City.

Elizabeth González, 14, was last seen in the San Juan Tlihuaca neighborhood on June 30, according to local authorities. She was wearing dark blue jeans, a black hoodie and black and white Vans shoes at the moment of her disappearance. An Amber Alert was activated the following day.

FBI Special Agent Steven Hymas told a local ABC affiliate that they have seen a video showing an adult manipulating González to get into a taxi. It was the last time she was seen, and while her whereabouts are unknown authorities believe she is still in Mexico.

González's mother, Alma Soreque, said she spoke with her daughter on the day she disappeared. She then received a call from family members saying she had gone to a nearby store to get a soda but never returned.

The FBI is asking anyone with information to call its Salt Lake City field office or the people's local office, as well as a near U.S. Embassy or Consulate. They can also submit a tip online at tips.fbi.gov.
