FBI agents were observed conducting a thorough investigation in the neighborhood of shooter Thomas Matthew Crooks in Bethel Park, Pennsylvania, approximately one week after the individual was killed in a failed assassination attempt targeting former President Trump.
The agents, attired in button-up shirts, were spotted driving a small black SUV as they carried documents and went from door to door engaging with neighbors.
Authorities are diligently working to ascertain the motive behind the shooting incident, which tragically resulted in the loss of Corey Comperatore's life and caused injuries to Trump, David Dutch, and James Copenhaver.
According to neighbors, Crooks' family did not exhibit any strong political views, and individuals who knew him from school described him as a reserved individual.
Jason Kohler, a former schoolmate of Crooks, characterized him as an 'outcast' who often kept to himself and faced daily bullying.
Kohler mentioned that Crooks would sit alone during lunch breaks and was subjected to ridicule for his choice of attire, which frequently included hunting outfits.
Another classmate, Julianna Grooms, noted that Crooks typically dressed in camouflage or hunting gear and had difficulty interacting with others. During his freshman year, he drew attention with his wide-legged jeans and Spongebob Squarepants T-shirts.
Grooms shared that if confronted, Crooks would simply stare back, leading some to label him as the type of student who might engage in violent behavior.
