Neighbours in one area of Merseyside say they have been kept "up all night" by constant disturbances from a local supermarket.
People who live on the busy Northway/A59 in Maghull said that for the last two weeks they have "not been able to sleep" due to the alarm and lights from the new Aldi store across the road "going off all night". Nicky who lives across the road from the Aldi said that due to the noise she raised a complaint with the manager of the store who initially denied there was an issue.
The store opened its doors in April this year and Nicky said the past two weeks have been a "nightmare". She said other people who live along the road have also complained and the store repeatedly "denied anything was happening".

Speaking to the ECHO she said: "The manager was completely denying it, he told me he would get a call from head office if there was a problem. Obviously, there is a problem with the system I live opposite the store.
"You can imagine a big store alarm going off, my neighbour has been over to complain twice as she has a young baby. I have family staying who thought it was my car alarm at first.
"They have more or less called me a liar by saying it has not been happening. But it kept my family awake."
On Monday Nicky confronted another manager at Aldi who said that after reviewing the footage they found the alarm had been going off. Nicky said she finally had good night's sleep for the first time in two weeks and hopes "it does not start up again."
A spokesperson for Aldi said: “As soon as we were made aware we investigated the issue and can confirm it has now been resolved. We apologise for any inconvenience caused to local residents.”
