MIAMI — A mother found the bodies of her son, daughter and their father after her ex-husband killed all three Tuesday night, Miami-Dade police said.
Police say the father of the 12-year-old girl and 9-year-old boy picked up the children. When their mother, his ex-wife, couldn’t contact him, she headed for Miami Lakes. She found the bodies on a canal bank, police said.
Neither the manner of death nor any names have been released.
The tragedy happened just before 9:30 p.m. in the 6400 block of Miami Lakes Drive. Crime scene tape streamed across the parking lot of the nearby Publix and shopping area most of the night.
