Early Saturday morning, a tragic shooting incident in Kentucky has left at least four individuals dead, along with one suspect, as reported by the Florence Police Department.
The shooting occurred around 3 a.m. at a residence on Ridgecrest Drive, prompting a swift response from law enforcement after receiving reports of an active shooter.
Upon arrival at the scene, authorities discovered the lifeless bodies of four individuals and several others who had sustained injuries.
The suspect, believed to be responsible for the violence, attempted to flee in a vehicle, leading to a pursuit by police. The chase came to an end when the suspect crashed the vehicle into a ditch on Dale Heimbrock Way near Hicks Pike.
Law enforcement officers found the suspect with a self-inflicted gunshot wound and rushed him to a nearby hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
As of now, the identities of both the victims and the suspect have not been disclosed by the authorities.
The Florence Police Department has assured the public that there is no ongoing threat to the community following the tragic incident.
