Manchester United have shown their prowess under Erik ten Hag this summer, as the team gets up to speed ahead of the new campaign with three back-to-back friendly victories.
The pre-season tour squad is packed with youth and a lot of them attain high pace and acceleration. This has been demonstrated in the three wins, with rapid movement clearly an important part of Ten Hag ’s philosophy.
The likes of Marcus Rashford and Jadon Sancho have caught the eye with their lung-busting sprints this month with both showing promise in the attacking third. But speaking to MUTV prior to United’s 3-1 win over Crystal Palace in Australia, Bryan Robson said neither of these two are apparently the fastest in the squad.

Elanga had a breakthrough season last time around, making the jump from academy to first team football and becoming a regular under Ralf Rangnick. He was arguably one of the few positive take-aways from a dismal campaign for United.
However, the Sweden international is yet to set the world alight in pre-season after a handful of tepid performances. Robson called on the 21-year-old to utilise his pace in the right areas to gain that cutting edge over his opponents.
He added: “He has to use that pace and make the right runs. He has to get in the box and score goals. If you get four chances in a game can you put two of them away?”
