A fast-food employee claims they were forced to sleep at Burger King after noisy neighbours set up a PA system in the garden and blasted loud music for months. Audrey Femen, 32, said that their neighbour's behaviour had been driving them "insane".
They went on to describe how they had been forced to put with the anti-social behaviour for months on end. They now fear that it might start again any day now.
Fast-food worker Audrey, from Hull, Yorkshire, said that their neighbours were using a set of professional level speakers in their back garden. With their flat being directly above the area, Audrey said that the noise was so loud that there was no way they could muffle it, the Mirror reports.

They could even hear the noise over the music they played on their headphones. When they went round to complain Audrey says the noise-polluter became aggressive. As a result, Audrey decided to complain to the council and the police. But despite their concerns neither body has been unable to stop the noise.
Desperate to get some sleep, Audrey, who is non-binary, was forced to decamp to the Burger King where they work and sleep in the back. Audrey said: "Last year was unbelievable, it drove me insane. I've not heard anything from them for the past couple of months but I've had that before.
"I don't know if they still live there. I've never seen them - I wouldn't be able to point them out. The only time I've seen them is when I go over at night and tell them to pack it in.
"They play the loudest music ever. Because it's a curved terraced building it just pounds round. They set up a sound system in the backyard, like a DJ set thing, it was serious - like three-foot speakers.
"I wish it was music I could actually listen to, it's hard to describe but it was like Bollywood, it's not stuff that I listen to.
"It was like that kind of thing, with chanting and really deep bass. You could feel it shake the house.
"You could hear it all the time, I used to put my headphones on and listen to my music but I couldn't because their music was too loud. There was no way I could drown it out."
Audrey added that the music would often play through the night. It also wasn't uncommon for it begin early in the evening, with bank holidays and special occasions being even worse than normal.
Audrey continued: "The worst was Christmas eve, it started around midnight and didn't stop until Christmas day. That was my only day off as well out of seven days. At the time I was working at Burger King.
"Usually I start at 7 or 8 o clock, one time, on New Year's Eve, because I find it hard to sleep anyway, the fireworks finished at 1am then I was just dropping off at 3am and then the music started. I gave up, got a taxi to work and slept there.
"I asked them to turn it down a couple of times, and each time they just told me to go away - they weren't bothered.
"When I went round in August there were six or seven guys, and I asked them to turn it off and they squared up to me - I rang the police but they've done nothing about it.
"It's their garden, but it's not very big - 10ft or so, and it borders all the others. It near enough points at my windows.
"I have no idea if they'll do it again, I hope they don't. Last year it went a few months and then it would start up again.
"I started to get quite scared of going out because I knew I would go home knackered and then not be able to sleep. I did entertain the idea of getting a night job, and I did it for a bit but it nearly killed me.
"The police always fobbed me off, on the council website they have a section to fill out for noise complaints, I've filled it out about ten times, seven times last year and two times this year, and they just say to make a record of it - but is that the only thing I can do? For how long, ten years?
"And do I keep hold of it or send it, I've never got past that stage.
"The most they could have done is send a letter to the property, but there's not a lot anyone can do. You'd have thought you can evict them but you can't do that willy-nilly can you?
"There's been a bunch of things that have made it difficult and I've not had trouble since then. Four months is the longest gap I've had, so it probably will come back at some point."
Hull City Council and Burger King have been approached for comment.
A spokesperson for Humberside Police said: "On Sunday 29 August 2021 we received reports of an altercation having taken place at a premises (in) Hull.
"It is believed that the altercation took place following complaints of noise at a neighbouring address. Thankfully, nobody was injured."
