Fashion Sakala has been told his pre-match comments about Celtic may have come back to 'bite him in the backside'.
The Zambian was in a bullish mood in the build-up to Sunday's Viaplay Cup final which Michael Beale's men lost 2-1 after a Kyogo Furuhashi double sealed the deal for Ange Postecoglou's side at Hampden. Sakala had branded the Scottish champions as 'the other mob' in a press conference before claiming that Rangers were 'so much better' than their bitter rivals.
Sakala could not covert from a relatively acute angle after Ryan Kent's effort smashed the post in the second half but Halliday believes he put a target on his back for criticism with his words in the build-up. The Hearts star insists on first look the angle of the shot looked tight but that upon review it should have been a sure-fire goal for Rangers.

Halliday said on Clyde 1 when asked for his howler of the weekend: "I've got to give the nod to Fashion Sakala, especially after his words in the media. I've never been a fan of comments like that because it can always lead to biting you in the backside!
"At the time I thought it's at a tight angle, maybe it's took a skip off the pitch or a bobble.
"But having watched it back, there's no way he should not have scored that goal."
