Fashion Sakala on vile rumours as Rangers striker breaks silence and insists he is 'fine'

Rangers star Fashion Sakala has been forced to clear up disgusting rumours on social media that emerged over the health of the forward.

The 25-year-old was called up for international duty with Zambia during the international break despite missing Rangers ’ last two games after picking up a knock during the Scottish Premiership, however he failed to recover from a minor muscle wound for the friendly clash with Israel. Sakala then returned to Scotland to continue his recovery with Rangers ahead of the league season restarting against Hibs on December 15.

However, that did not stop vile trolls online targeting the Ibrox frontman with claims emerging on Twitter that he had been fatally injured during an incident in his homeland. Sakala's name would trend on social media with fans expressing sympathy while some disputed the legitimacy of the sick claims, but the Rangers striker has taken to his personal outlets to let supporters know he is safe.

In response to the fake claims Sakala shared a picture of himself to both Instagram and Twitter. He added the caption: "God bless. Happy to be back and it was nice to see my family.

"I'm recovering well and I'm very fine to the rumours enjoying the cold in Glasgow. FS10 dreams don't die."

Several fans have been quick to call out those who made up the rumours. One posted "Whoever made that Sakala rumour up is sick" while another added "Sakala is arguably one of the nicest players in the league so to even target him is bad man."
