Fashion Sakala poked fun at himself after failing to make the short list at the Rangers ' Player of the Year Awards last night.
The forward took to social media after the awards to make a tongue-in-cheek jibe after missing out on a gong.
The player posed for a picture on stage, shaking the presenter's as if he was accepting a prize.
Posting the snap on Twitter, he joked: "Players awards, the confidence in me.
"I wasn’t even part of the nominees but I still believed to win the award.
"Never doubt yourself. Big congratulations to all the winners and well deserved."
He also added a phrase that will be familar to his social media followers, chiming in with: "Dreams don't die."
But the Zambian may be in with a better chance next campaign if he gets more game time under his belt.
The absence of both Kemar Roofe and Alfredo Morelo s has opened up the chance for Sakala to shine within Gio van Bronckhorst's starting XI with a huge opportunity to prove himself in Germany on Thursday night.
The Light Blues have a busy schedule ahead with two Europa League semi final ties and and Old Firm between now and May 5.
The Zambian started and impressed on Saturday as Rangers were the visitors against Motherwell at Fir Park.
It puts him in good standing with fans deeming him a 'must start' for Thursday's vital European clash.
