The Farmer Wants A Wife saga between Claire Saunders and Farmer Andrew Coleman has heated up and boy, it’s a doozy.
After Farmer Andrew went and spilled his side of the story about why the pair called off their wedding, Claire hit back and claimed he’s been spreading “lies and deception”. Ouch.
ICYMI, Farmer Andrew did a tell-all interview with New Idea, saying that the pair clashed over “financial awareness” and “social media use”, saying that they “weren’t really compatible for a long-term relationship”.
After his father got extremely sick, Farmer Andrew said he decided to use work to distract himself from the “sadness” surrounding him. Later, he apparently “expressed some doubts about getting married”, which caused Claire to call off the wedding.
In an interview with PEDESTRIAN.TV, Claire expressed her shock after seeing her ex’s words splashed all over the internet.
“I just can’t believe that he can give an interview about the breakdown of our relationship but he can’t even have a conversation with me,” she said.
“Some closure or a conversation with him about everything would have been the least he could have done, after I gave up my life to move there. The lies and deception from him are actually crazy, and honestly I’m glad I’m not marrying into that,” she claimed.
The reality TV star added that she has nothing else to say about her former fiancé and is looking forward to a future without him.
“I’m also at the point now where I just don’t care what he says or does anymore. I just want to move on with my life, find someone that appreciates me and be happy,” she declared.
She previously told Who she was heartbroken over the turn of events, saying: “I never thought of my life away from Andrew and the farm when I was there. It’s the only time in my life I’ve not had a plan B. It’s not been easy but breakups are not easy, especially when you really love someone.”
At the time, she blamed their breakup on Farmer Andrew’s inability to commit, saying “you can’t make someone marry you”.
I feel like at this point, the saga has finally come to a close. It’s super sad the fan-favourite couple didn’t end up working out in the end, but it sounds like they’re both moving on.
