Should you wish to indulge in a wee foodie day trip this weekend away from the city, then we have the perfect place for you.
Heading north from the capital to the Kingdom of Fife you'll discover the hidden gem that is the Bowhouse Farm, which is part of the Balcaskie Estate between the stunning coastal villages of St Monans and Elie.
It's here you'll find a cracking farmer's market packed to the gunnels with cracking vendors, fresh produce and local crafts that is sure to be a fun way to while away the afternoon with friends or family.
Taking place on the second weekend of each month, the market is home to some of Scotland's very best local producers and this weekend they are hosting a fun summer event.

Posting on their Facebook page, the team wrote: "This weekend we are celebrating summer at our July market. The market hall will be bursting at the seams with the finest local produce and the Tea Green Pop Up Events craft traders."
Running on Saturday, July 8 and Sunday, July 9 from 10 am until 4 pm, the weekend will feature drinks from the likes of Abernyte Brewery, Buck and Birch and Kingsbarns Distillery, as well as cakes and bakes from star names such as the Muffin Man and Heavenly Goodies.
Food will be provided by top names such as House of Tapas, Pizza Geeks and Screaming Peacock, while Great Glen Charcuterie will be on hand with their expert range of artisan cured meats.
You'll also be able to enjoy a range of coffee and teas, cheeses, fresh fruit and veg and meats.
When it comes to learning what makes Bowhouse so special, their website puts it pretty succinctly: "It connects small growers and producers with restaurants and shoppers, giving everyone better access to the best ingredients and finished produce that the East Neuk has to offer.
"At its heart, Bowhouse is a gathering place for people who really care about food."
