Chelsea were handed a damaging setback in the race for Champions League qualification as Wolves held the Blues to a 2-2 draw. Conor Coady's glancing header in the dying embers rescued a point for Bruno Lage's side.
Ruben Loftus-Cheek thought he had opened the scoring for the west Londoners with the first of the Todd Boehly era, though his effort was soon ruled out due to offside. Romelu Lukaku eventually opened Chelsea's account with a penalty moments into the second half.
The 28-year-old, who has struggled to acclimatise to the Premier League since his return in the summer, doubled the Blues' lead just minutes later. But, Francisco Trincão pulled one back for the visitors before Coady found a pocket of space to beat Edouard Mendy in injury time.

Speaking in the post-match press conference, Thomas Tuchel was pleased with how his side started either half but was left to rue Chelsea's game management. The German boss added by refusing to shower Lukaku with praise, despite turning a corner in his career at Stamford Bridge.
He said: "I think we started both halves very well, controlled the match with a very offensive approach to this game today. A very offensive 5-3-2, we knew about the risks in coverage to avoid counter-attacks. We knew about it, so we needed to be very, very disciplined."
"No, I don't think ownership is a reason for lack of focus, the Blues boss said when asked whether news of the Boehly's successful takeover will give Chelsea greater focus. "We showed when the situation began that we can still focus.
"I would not consider this as an advantage for Leeds as it does not change much for us because the sanctions are not lifted. It's not worth thinking about. We have our own stuff to solve and make better.
"I heard the news this morning, and I was in my match routine, so there was no reaction from me. I have not spoken to anybody yet, but as I said, I was in my morning routine.
And, as they do with every game, the UK's national media reacted to Chelsea's heartbreaking draw. The Guardian said: "Champions League qualification would make everything more straightforward for Boehly, both in terms of budgets and the club's capacity to attract players. Slowly, the confusion over the club's future is clearing, but the recent dip in form is making everything murkier than it might have been."
The Express said: "New Chelsea owner Todd Boehly looked far from impressed at the final whistle in the match against Wolves after visiting Stamford Bridge for his first game since his takeover was confirmed — the American businessman was shaking his head as the players were leaving the field. Boehly had an eventful introduction to life as a Premier League team owner in the first half after getting his first taste of VAR."
And the Mirror said: "Ironically, it had been one of Lukaku's best performances since he returned to Stamford Bridge in a club-record move from Inter Milan. So far, it has been a comeback to forget for Lukaku, who before Saturday had scored just five Premier League goals all season."
