The next Xbox Free Play weekend is coming up soon, with Far Cry 5, Marvel’s Midnight Suns, and Bassmaster in the spotlight. The promotion is live now and runs through March 26, 2023, at 11:59 p.m. Pacific time for Xbox Live Gold and Game Pass Ultimate subscribers.
Far Cry 5 drops you in Montana, currently overrun with cultists, and sends you across the highways and mountains to uncover their leader’s secrets and boot them out. Marvel’s Midnight Suns is a strategy game from Civilization developer Firaxis that combines XCOM-style tactics with card-based mechanics and even a Persona-like social system.
Unlike the free trial available on consoles, this version isn’t timed.
If you fancy a bit of weekend fishing in the warm, spring sun, but without the outdoors, or the sun, or real fish, then Bassmaster Classic is for you.
The spotlight games are on sale during the free play weekend, so if you like what you see, you can grab them at a steep discount. While the free versions don’t include DLC or expansions, Xbox is putting those on sale during the free play weekend too.
