Fantasy Six Nations tips with six must-have players for Round 3

After what feels like a long weekend without any Six Nations, the Championship returns this weekend with lots of action to enjoy for fans.

The biggest game of the weekend sees England host Wales at Twickenham in what is always a passionate and combative affair between to sides for whom there is not a lot of love for the other.

Elsewhere Scotland will be hoping to make it three wins in a row against France after wins in the last two meetings while Italy will face Ireland in Rome.

Here we take a look at the best Fantasy Six Nations signings to make ahead of round three and you can check out of the team of the week from round two for inspiration here.

Melvyn Jaminet

The France star is an underrated cog in the French machine and has been at the heart of everything good for Les Bleus so far in this competition.

He scored 53.5 points in his side's win over Ireland in round two and while he may be overshadowed by the star power of Romain Ntamack and Antione Dupont in the French ranks he is equally as important.

Against Ireland he scored six penalties and one conversion to demonstrate just how important he is at full-back and you can pick him up for the sum of 14 stars at the moment, meaning that he is cheaper than some of the other big names in the competition.

Liam Williams

Wales always reserve their best performances to face the English with and Liam Williams looks as though he could be a strong bet for Round Two.

Williams didn't look his best as Wales lost to Ireland but was back to his best last time out as his side fought to a thrilling victory over Scotland.

He has risen to 16.2 stars to reflect his performance against Scotland and with his fitness looking like it's peaking at the right time he could be a threat throughout the rest of the tournament.

Chris Harris

A name not a lot of fans outside of Gloucester and Scotland would have known too much about before his call up to the Lions squad in 2021.

He has now looked to have dislodged Huw Jones as Scotland's main outside-centre and is performing well in Fantasy as one of the highest scoring centres of round two with 48.4 points.

He will likely start as Scotland play host to France in round three and with the Scots coming off the back of successive wins over the French in 2020 and 2021, Harris could once again play a crucial role.

Marcus Smith

It goes without saying that the impact that Marcus Smith has had on this year's Six Nations has been huge and this is reflected in the fact that his price has risen from 15.7 to 18.3 stars.

He was in scintillating form against Italy and posted the highest score so far in the championship with 130 points and will be a sure bet to start once again for England this weekend.

Should his price go any higher though it could be a difficult decision for players, who may want to use their money elsewhere in the squad with Smith now one of the most expensive players in the game.

Joey Carbery

Carbery showed that the future without Johnny Sexton should not be too much of a problem with his performance in Paris, scoring 38.36 points as Ireland fell to a narrow defeat.

With Italy up next it is unlikely that Sexton will return from injury just yet with bigger games to come meaning that carbery could be left to rack up a big tally against the Italians.

However, this said it could be worth waiting until the team announcements at the end of this week before pulling the trigger on this transfer.

Jamison Gibson-Park

The likely second part of Ireland's half-back pairing in Italy will be scrum-half Jamison Gibson-Park, who produced a stellar performance in Ireland's narrow defeat to France.

He is a nippy scrum-half who is electric around the base of the breakdown and the broken field game often seen in Rome will suit his skills.

Again, as is often the case with Italy games, it is best to wait for the team announcement as the bigger teams can often make changes before the fixture, so be warned.
