I’m Pras and welcome to my weekly series for SportsCasting, where I will be providing my thoughts on my Fantasy Premier League tips for Gameweek 11.
While, just for context, over the last 12 seasons of FPL I have achieved four top 10k finishes, including two top 5k finishes. My seasonal average over the last seven seasons is around 21k.
Pras Fantasy Premier League Tips For Gameweek 11 – Head vs Heart
Every week, I’ll be talking about the Captaincy, and 2 Fantasy Premier League tips per position. One the sensible pick, the head if you will. The other is the maverick pick, or the heart. The idea is to give you two options per position to either chance it and go different or be safe and sensible.
FPL Tips – Captaincy ‘Head’ Pick
Last week I pulled the band-aid and sold Haaland for Salah captain. It worked out then but doesn’t mean it will work every week. Also, it isn’t the best for my heart – but well, it’s done.
I do think this is another week where Mo Salah vs Aston Villa is marginally the better captaincy candidate. Salah now has seven goals and five assists in his first 10 games – which is impressive even for his incredibly high historical standards.
FPL Tips – Captaincy ‘Heart’ Pick
Spurs have scored 15 goals across their five league matches at home this season. Solanke vs Ipswich looks like a great fixture on the back of Aston Villa, where Solanke scored two goals, an assist and all three bonus points, he finished as the previous Gameweek’s top scorer.
FPL Tips – Defender ‘Head’ Pick
Pedro Porro vs Ipswich is the upside Fantasy Premier League pick this week, playing an Ipswich team that are the worst in the league for attempts (100) and shots on target (30). In the absence of Maddison, Porro is even back on some set pieces which further boots his attacking appeal.
FPL Tips – Defender ‘Heart’ Pick
Rayan Ait-Nouri vs Southampton has three goals and two assists already – the highest amongst all defenders. Only two defenders have registered more shots in the box over the season. Saints have scored the fewest goals in the league with just seven and they have also only kept one clean sheet, which hopefully bodes well for returns at both ends of the pitch.

FPL Tips – Midfielder ‘Heart’ Pick
Bruno Fernandes vs Leicester scored his first goal of the Premier League campaign on Sunday. In his two matches under Ruud van Nistelrooy, the Portuguese has racked up nine shots and eight key passes. He got another assist in the Europa League fixture against PAOK.

FPL Tips – Forwards ‘Heart’ Pick
Cunha vs Southampton is among the top two forwards for both shots and chances created.
This creativity makes him great for bonus points, especially as Wolves also tend to concede, so the bonus points in a win go to the attackers. He has set piece, possible penalties – a perfect budget friendly pick.
