Starts and sits is here to help fantasy managers make those all important last minute lineup decisions .While we won’t tell you about obvious starts such as Christian McCaffrey or Tyreek Hill, we will find players you may be waffling about and help you make a decision.
Let’s look at wide receivers for Week 6.
Start: Jaylen Waddle, Miami Dolphins
Perhaps a bit of a disappointment for fantasy managers so far this season considering he was drafted as a WR1, Jaylen Waddle still has all the talent in the world to end up at the top of the fantasy rankings. This week Waddle gets a juicy matchup against a Carolina Panthers team that is down half it’s secondary, which means he will see a lot of snaps against Carolina’s fourth and fifth cornerback. Fire Waddle up as a WR1 this week and invest heavily in daily.
Start: Adam Thielen, Carolina Panthers
As we just covered above, the Miami Dolphins are likely to throw all over against the Carolina Panthers and go up big early. This means Carolina will need to respond in kind with a heavy dose of their own passing attack. While that attack is significantly worse, there is still plenty of targets to go around for the likes of Adam Thielen, who could be in for a big day against a vulnerable Miami secondary. Fire Thielen up as a WR2 especially in PPR leagues.
Sit: Amari Cooper, Cleveland Browns
With starting quarterback Deshaun Watson out this week, and a matchup with the league’s best defense, fantasy owners will need to try to do better than Amari Cooper this week. Veteran PJ Walker is a capable quarterback but against a San Francisco 49ers team that has ravaged opposing quarterbacks all year, Cooper could be left with a rather disappointing box score at the end of the day.
Start: K.J Osborn, Minnesota Vikings
With All-Pro receiver Justin Jefferson landing on injured reserve this last week Kirk Cousins and the Minnesota Vikings are going to lean heavily on K.J. Osborn to try and replace some of the production left behind. While Osborn will not replicate the stat lines of Jefferson, he should still see a heavy work load, especially against a vulnerable Chicago Bears defense. Fire Osborn up as a potential WR1 this week.
Start: Jakobi Meyers, Las Vegas Raiders
There is definitely a sense of a bitter taste left in the mouth of Jakobi Meyers as a former Patriot. This revenge game comes at a perfect time with New England seemingly collapsing and down a few members of their secondary. I imagine Josh McDaniels will be eager to prove his former team wrong about letting Meyers walk straight down to Las Vegas and Meyers should be heavily targeted this week. Meyers is a safe WR2 in PPR formats.
