Starts and sits is here to help fantasy managers make those all important last minute lineup decisions .While we won’t tell you about obvious starts such as A.J. Brown or Tyreek Hill, we will find players you may be waffling about and help you make a decision.
Let’s look at wide receivers for Week 10.
Start: Deebo Samuel, San Francisco 49ers
It’s been about a month since we last saw Deebo Samuel on the field and both the San Francisco 49ers and fantasy managers are ecstatic to have him back on the field. This 49ers offense looks much better with Samuel out there and it’s likely Kyle Shanahan will design plenty of plays to get him back into the groove. There should be zero hesitation on firing Samuel up as a WR1 this week.
Start: Robert Woods, Houston Texans
With starting wide receiver set to miss this weeks games and Robert Woods due back after multiple missed games he could be set up for a productive return. Woods will likely see plenty of action out of the slot and out wide and could operate as the bonified WR1 for this explosive CJ Stroud lead offense. It’s a bit of a risky play, but Woods could have sneaky good production in PPR leagues. Fire him up as a WR2 or flex option.
Sit: Every New York Giants receiver
It’s hard to think of a worse offensive situation in the league right now then the one in New York. Down Daniel Jones and with one of worst supporting casts in the league, the Giants are looking downright hopeless for the rest of the season. It doesn’t help they are playing one of the best defensive units in the game with their division rival Dallas Cowboys. Avoid all New York Giants receivers, I don’t know how they can be productive in this game.
Start: Quentin Johnston, Los Angeles Chargers
Rookie first round pick Quentin Johnston has failed to live up to his draft status so far this season and is coming off a disappointing game where he took over the starting role. This week against Detroit could be a totally different story. With both offenses capable of scoring plenty of points, Johnston is well positioned to make plenty of big plays for Herbert and this offense. It’s a risky play, but there are worse flex options this week in all formats.
Sit: Christian Watson, Green Bay Packers
It’s certainly been a disappointing season for the once promising second year receiver who has failed to catch on at all with new quarterback Jordan Love. It’s unlikely to get any better this week against a top tier Pittsburgh Steelers defense who will be able to turn up the heat on Love this week. Keep Watson on your bench and perhaps send him to waivers if he keeps up with his severely limited production
