Fantasy football Week 7 studs, duds and sleepers: CeeDee Lamb and Tyreek Hill will ball regardless of who’s throwing them the ball

When it comes to competition, one of the best ways to get an edge on the opposition is through prior preparation. In fantasy football, that way of thinking certainly applies. Here at Bet For The Win, we’re doing the preparation for you.

Six weeks of NFL action are already in the books and they’ve all shared some ups and downs — some players have overachieved, and others have occasionally underperformed. As a result, there have players worth talking about.

This week, we’ll try to identify those that’ll give you the leg up on your opponents.

We present Week 7’s studs, duds, and sleepers.

Studs

QB Joe Burrow – Cincinnati Bengals

It feels like a risk betting on the Cincy offense to show up, being that it’s been hit-or-miss so far. Quietly, though, Joe Burrow is having a good season. He was great last week (4 total TDs) and will face an Atlanta pass defense that’s giving up the second-most passing yards per game (281.2).

RB Rhamondre Stevenson – New England Patriots

He’s going to have another good game, and if Damien Harris is still hurt, he’ll have a great one.

WR Tyreek Hill – Miami Dolphins

No matter who is playing quarterback, Tyreek Hill will find production — he’s that good. His 12 catches for 177 yards last week are just the latest bit of proof. He should show up in primetime this weekend against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

TE Mark Andrews – Baltimore Ravens

A top-2 tight end in the NFL going up against a bad defense? Sign me up.

Duds

QB Patrick Mahomes – Kansas City Chiefs

I’m putting the incredible Pat Mahomes on the duds list and I’ll probably regret it. But by his standards, he’ll be a dud against maybe the league’s best defense.

RB Breece Hall – New York Jets

Rookie running back Breece Hall is ballin’, he’s got three-straight games with a touchdown. But, I don’t like his matchup this weekend against a good defense.

WR Amon-Ra St. Brown – Detroit Lions

Coming off the bye week, will Amon-Ra be feeling a little better health-wise? Maybe, but it’ll be hard to produce against the Cowboys, who have been holding offenses in check.

TE Taysom Hill – New Orleans Hornets

He’s gadgety and is untrustworthy on a week-to-week basis.

Sleepers

QB Justin Herbert – Los Angeles Chargers

Yup, Justin Herbert threw a bunch of passes in Week 6 but not one touchdown. It happens. He’s still very good at football and should be able to bounce back against the Seahawks.

RB Josh Jacobs – Las Vegas Raiders

Hopefully, the bye week didn’t cool Josh Jacobs down from an insanely hot last couple of games. Nevertheless, he should be able to run all over this Houston Texans defense.

WR Ceedee Lamb – Dallas Cowboys

Is Dak Prescott back? If so, I’d move Lamb into the Studs category. He’ll remain a sleeper until we know Dak’s status.

TE Robert Tonyan – Green Bay Packers

The Packers are a mess, but that hasn’t stopped Robert Tonyan from having some strong performances following last year’s season-ending knee injury. He had 10 catches a week ago and should continue to be one of Aaron Rodgers’ trusted targets.
