Fantasy football waiver wire Week 7: Michael Carter time in New York

Week 7 of the 2022 NFL season is nearly over. And what a week of football it was!

If you play fantasy football, you’re already planning ahead with waivers after a busy week of games.

That’s what we’re here for, a roundup of some of the players you could be targeting ahead of Week 8.

Some of the names below might be taken already, but if not, there are a bunch of dudes who could change your fantasy fortunes this season. Let’s run through them, in no particular order, and we’ll update it after the New England Patriots and Chicago Bears play on Monday Night Football.

1
RB Michael Carter, New York Jets

Sounds like incredible rookie RB Breece Hall is about to miss the rest of the season with a torn ACL.

So in steps Carter, who is solid, likely to be an RB2 in an improved Jets offense. If he’s out there, go get him.

2
RB Gus Edwards, Baltimore Ravens

I saw him snatched up in a bunch of my leagues, but if not? It looks like he’s the RB1 in the run-heavy Ravens offense until J.K. Dobbins comes back.

3
WR Parris Campbell, Indianapolis Colts

I’ve been waiting for him to break out for … years? And we’ll see if his 10-catch, 70-yard and a score day on Sunday was the start of something, or if Michael Pittman and Alec Pierce are still the top two wideouts in Indy.

4
QB Daniel Jones, New York Giants

He’s legit! He gets yardage on the ground, and with Wan’Dale Robinson catching footballs and the Giants offense improving, he’s a weekly fantasy option.

5
RB D'Onta Foreman, Carolina Panthers

OK, so Chubba Hubbard and him are probably in a timeshare. But what a week for Foreman! He had 118 yards on the ground in the shocking win over the Bucs.

6
WR Kalif Raymond, Detroit Lions

If Amon-Ra St. Brown misses next week, maybe what we saw this week (75 yards through the air) is a thing.

7
RB Kyren Williams, Los Angeles Rams

There’s buzz over the rookie running back who hasn’t played a single snap yet. That’s because Cam Akers is out, Darrell Henderson has been meh, and so maybe Williams does something when he returns from the injured list.

8
TE Greg Dulcich, Denver Broncos

I’m intrigued by what I’ve seen so far from the rookie tight end.
