Fantasy Football: Waiver-wire targets for Week 12

It was an exciting and interesting Week 11, where we saw some new names enter into our collective fantasy football minds. Injuries and breakout stars are going to send fantasy managers scrambling to waivers this week, and we can fill you in on who to target before waivers clear.

1. Isaiah Likely, TE, Baltimore Ravens

Nathan Ray Seebeck-USA TODAY Sports

With starter Mark Anders suffering a season ending injury it leaves a big hole for the athletic Isaiah Likely to fill. We have seen Likely be productive in the absence of Andrews previously and he has all the explosive athletic prowess needed to open up an already dominant Baltimore offense even more. It’s not a stretch to think of Likely ending up as a top ten tight end rather quickly and he should be added in all formats to reflect as much.

2. Zach Charbonett, RB, Seattle Seahawks

Joe Nicholson-USA TODAY Sports

We mentioned Charbonett here last week as a potential waiver add but with an injury to starter Kenneth Walker it makes Charbonett a must add. If Walker is to miss time Charbonett instantly becomes an RB2 in this run heavy offense and has shown off all the skills to potentially replace the production left behind by Walker. Charbonett could be worth a heavy investment should Walker miss any time.

3. Odell Beckham Jr., WR, Baltimore Ravens

Tommy Gilligan-USA TODAY Sports

It feels a bit odd putting Odell Beckham on a waiver wire list given the gravity of his name and past accomplishments, but with inconsistent production over the years he has become more and more available. Beckham looked good last week against the Bengals and is starting to look at least somewhat like his old self. It’s certainly a more of a ‘wait and see’ approach if you can to see if Beckham can consistently be a top target, but with big performances as of late and the loss of Mark Andrews in this offense perhaps Beckham can be the top producer he once was.

4. Khalil Shakir, WR, Buffalo Bills

Gregory Fisher-USA TODAY Sports

Khalil Shakir is starting to fill the hole in this Buffalo offense that was left once Cole Beasley departed multiple seasons ago. Playing primarily out of the slot Shakir has proven to be a reliable target in the past few weeks and is developing into what Buffalo drafted him to be. Shakir should continue to be productive in this offense as he takes over full time in the slot role.

5. Matthew Stafford, QB, Los Angeles Rams

Gary A. Vasquez-USA TODAY Sports

While Stafford has been a bit shaky coming back from injury it’s important to remember he has played some solid defenses and was otherwise productive beforehand. Now that Stafford should be getting healthier and has some easier game son the schedule he should be able to return to those 300 yard games we saw earlier in the season. This offense it too good and has too many solid weapons for Stafford to regress out of quarterback relevancy. He’s a solid start this week against the Cardinals in daily and can be added if you are week at the position in standard.
