You’re waking up on Tuesday reading all that you can about the players that you should be picking up off the waiver wire as you prepare for Week 13 of fantasy football in 2023.
But it’s likely there aren’t as many things written about who you should be dropping to grab those players. That’s what this weekly column — keep ’em or dump ’em! — will hopefully answer for you: Some help in the debate over who you should keep or drop in order to improve your team.
It’s not the biggest of waiver wire weeks, but still: let’s dive in to help you with who to keep or drop.
1
RB Ty Chandler, Minnesota Vikings
After a couple of games with some decent numbers, he fell back to Earth with four carries for eight yards. I still have some faith that he gets more run after the bye even with Alexander Mattison healthy so …
VERDICT: Keep him
2
WR Noah Brown, Houston Texans
Trickier than it looks. On one hand, he hasn’t been healthy. And it’s Nico Collins and Tank Dell getting a ton of looks in a terrific Texans passing offense.
That said, he could be a factor once he’s back. But if you need the roster spot this week, I lean toward …
VERDICT: Drop him
3
WR Jerry Jeudy, Denver Broncos
Shocked to see him here? Why? Dude’s had more more than five targets just twice in his last four games and he’s gone over 64 yards just once this season with one touchdown. In redraft leagues, I’d drop him.
VERDICT: Drop him
4
QB Geno Smith, Seattle Seahahwks
He’s playing against the Cowboys, Niners, Eagles, Titans and Steelers to finish the 2023 fantasy season, and also he’s been bad.
VERDICT: Drop him
5
WR Amari Cooper, Cleveland Browns
Deshaun Watson’s absence has been a huge problem for him.
VERDICT: Drop him
6
RB Justice Hill, Baltimore Ravens
The backfield is just too crowded in Baltimore for him to thrive.
VERDICT: Drop him
