Knowledge is power and the greatest asset you can acquire in order to compete for a fantasy football championship.
Here's your 2022 preview of the Jacksonville Jaguars, the 11th of 32 team profiles during draft season:
— 2022 Fantasy MVP: Travis Etienne Jr., RB
Etienne (ADP: 39) missed his rookie season with a Lisfranc injury. He's expected to be the lead back with James Robinson recovering from an Achilles injury. Robinson could cut into some of Etienne's early-down work once he's healthy, but I anticipate Jacksonville using the former first-rounder in a myriad of ways (including outside at receiver). D'Andre Swift finished as fantasy's RB15 in PPR last season. This is where my expectations of Etienne begin in 2022.
— 2022 Fantasy Sleeper: Evan Engram, TE
Engram (ADP: 169) was a top-10 option in PPR points per game from 2017-2019, before Jason Garrett got to New York and injuries severely hampered him. He's going to annihilate his ADP if he ends up as an every-down tight end in Doug Pederson's offense.
— 2022 Fantasy Bust: Christian Kirk, WR
The price tag for Kirk (ADP: 105) isn't necessarily prohibitive. The contract he received this offseason normally dictates a big commitment via target-share — on top of the massive amount of cash — but my spidey sense tells me if he surpasses his 103 targets from a year ago, it won't be by much. Which means there's plenty of other receivers available in this range with more upside to invest your draft capital in.
— 2022 Fantasy Rookie to watch: Kevin Austin Jr., WR
I'm still surprised Austin (ADP: NA) went undrafted. He's not a lock to make this roster unless the Jags keep seven receivers, and if he doesn't end up on their practice squad, he'll end up on another team's roster. There's simply too much potential — size, speed, versatility, blocking acumen — for him not to contribute somewhere.
