Knowledge is power and the greatest asset you can acquire in order to compete for a fantasy football championship.
Here's your 2022 preview of the Chicago Bears, the 21st of 32 team profiles during draft season:
— 2022 Fantasy MVP: Darnell Mooney, WR
Mooney (ADP: 60) is being drafted as a WR3 with WR2 upside in the fifth or sixth round. He's really a WR2 lock with WR1 upside. Mooney averaged 9.4 targets in five games without Allen Robinson in 2021, which equates to 160 targets over a full season — 90-100 receptions, 1,200-1,300 yards and six-plus touchdowns is well within reach.
— 2022 Fantasy Sleeper: Cole Kmet, TE
Kmet (ADP: 117) finished as TE13 in PPR over the final nine games last season without scoring a single touchdown. He's only 23 years old, due for serious positive touchdown regression and should receive a promising target share for the position.
— 2022 Fantasy Bust: David Montgomery, RB
Montgomery (ADP: 36) has earned the respect of the fantasy community over the last two seasons, and if I was confident his usage wouldn't be impacted by a new offensive brain trust who favors multi-back committees or a talented backup like Khalil Herbert — who was very good in limited action his rookie season — I'd be advocating for him once again.
— 2022 Fantasy Rookie to watch: Velus Jones, WR
Jones (ADP: 337), a third-rounder out of Tennessee (he also played for USC), is fast, athletic and this depth chart features a bunch of retreads at receiver. I see weekly flex potential of the boom-or-bust variety.
