A bridge from Govan to Partick is now one step closer to completion after new pictures of its construction have been released.
The £29.5million project will see a new pedestrian/cycle bridge built over the River Clyde between Water Row in Govan and Pointhouse Quay in Partick, a connection that will re-establish the historic link between the two areas.
Work on the new footbridge began last January, with construction initially scheduled to finish at the end of 2023, however, the finishing date has now been moved back to Spring 2024.

Glasgow City Council has posted pictures of the infilling of a cofferdam which is a key stage, allowing the construction of the south pier, the area on which the bridge will pivot when complete.
It is believed that once the bridge is fully operational it will be an active travel route between the University of Glasgow's campus at Gilmorehill and the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital.
The vital work is being carried out by Farrans Limited and it is thought to be a key component to getting other projects, such as the proposed £100million Therme development at Glasgow Harbour, and proposals for more than 1,000 homes at Yorkhill Quay, off the ground.
