Respawn is hosting an Apex Legends swimsuit event and a special limited-time mode, but fans were apparently hoping for something more revealing (thanks, GamesRadar). The Sun Squad Collection Event runs from March 28, 2023, through April 11, 2023, and marks the first time Respawn added swimsuit skins to the FPS game, though not for every Legend.
Some fans were disappointed that Loba, who normally wears heeled boots and skin-tight clothes, wasn’t included. They made such a fuss that the Apex Legends Twitter account posted a challenge saying the team would add a swimsuit for her if the post reached a certain number of likes, which it did very quickly.
Ok, here's the deal:
If this post gets 10k likes, we'll add the swimsuit skin

Then, fans were upset because the skin wasn’t revealing enough, and not just hers either. The men aren’t showing enough skin, they said, except for Seer with his open shirt – and even that wasn’t quite as titillating as they hoped. Some Twitter users put together mock-ups of what they wanted instead, with predictable results.

Meanwhile, Respawn is also running a new limited-time mode during season 16 called Heatwave, where the sun is so strong, it damages you unless you find shade quickly. That’s not a day at the beach where you’d want to be running around in a thong, so it looks like those non-revealing swimsuits come in handy after all.
