Fans support Paul O'Grady after sad loss of one of his beloved pets

Paul O'Grady has been supported by fans after sharing the devastating news that one of his pets died while he was on tour.

Taking to Instagram, Paul said: "Got back from a week in Newcastle playing Miss Hannigan in Annie to find that Tom Tom, one of my pigs had been put to sleep. I knew it was coming as he’d been diagnosed with a tumour but even so it’s awful when you lose a pet.

"He was the cheekiest of the gang and one of the other pigs who was obviously very fond of him is now depressed and gone into mourning and there’s those who say that animals don’t have feelings."

He added: "On a lighter note I’m thoroughly enjoying playing Hannigan again after so long especially with a truly amazing and lovely cast. Next stop Edinburg," reports BirminghamLive.

TV host Gaby Roslin replied saying: "Oh no. Paul I’m so so sorry. Sending you massive hugs and so much love my darling." Susan said: "Sorry to hear your sad news, losing a pet is like losing a member of your family. On a brighter note, I came to see you in Newcastle. First visit to the theatre on my own since my husband died. I loved every minute and you were amazing. Thank you for putting a smile on my face.xx"

Rachel said: "I had to have my horse of 21 years pts 3 weeks ago, it's absolutely broke me." Taylor said: "Aw bless him. How sad for the others who are mourning his death, of course they will mourn him, he was part of their family." Jeff said: "Losing a pet is always a bitter blow. In fact, you CAN miss them more than some members of your family, I believe."

Trio said: "Aw I’m sorry to hear of your loss our animals are so important in our life." Dawn said: "Sorry to hear your sad news xx glad your enjoying being back in the Annie show again." Sylvia said: "Animals have more feelings than some humans Paul give me animals anytime.....so sorry for your loss Paul xxx."
