The Miami Dolphins were downed by the Los Angeles Chargers on Sunday night at SoFi Stadium, 23-17.
Mike McDaniel’s offense was off all night, as Tua Tagovailoa couldn’t connect with his receivers for a majority of the game with the two highlights being long touchdowns by Tyreek Hill.
On the other side of the ball, Josh Boyer’s unit was on the field for entirely too long (nearly 40 minutes), and that allowed Justin Herbert to find Mike Williams and Keenan Allen for a number of key plays, resulting in 18 receptions for 208 yards just for the pair alone.
Miami’s loss drops them to 8-5 on the season which is good enough for the second position in the AFC East, behind their Week 15 opponent – the Buffalo Bills, and sixth in the conference playoff seeding, at the moment.

If Miami wants to be taken seriously, they have to establish the run. Teams are figuring the offense out. #MIAvsLAC

Boyer is terrible, end of the half was pathetic
BUT where the hell is the offense?
— Fins Legion (@FinsLegion) December 12, 2022
The Chargers have the Dolphins offense so well scouted, it’s getting kind of ridiculous. No separation all night.

HOW IS THAT A ROUGHING THE PASSER PENALTY ON JAELAN PHILLIPS?!

You’d think with Tyreek obviously hurt you’d throw to Jaylen Waddle more?

Same old Dolphins, man. Another embarrassing performance in prime time. The defense did all it could. Offense has been figured out. Tua has been figured out. All it took was 2 real teams for the first time in 5 weeks. Shameful. We all deserve the roasting we’re about to get.

I was at the game. Let me tell you about terrible clock management. Why did Mike McDaniel use all three timeouts before the two minute warning? We were already down by 10 points? It literally shows poor clock management. #FinsUp #dolphinstwitter

I know there’s the #SameOldDolphins let down the fan base talks about, even though it’s frustrating and infuriating at times, & even though it’s been bad for a looooong time, my biggest regret as a fan is for not sticking with this team all along as I was a fan as a kid. #FinsUp
