If Monday night’s NFC Wild Card loss to the Los Angeles Rams proved anything, it’s that Kyler Murray truly is an Oakland Athletic at heart. Their playoff runs are over in a flash.
Murray’s first taste of the NFL playoffs ended in an embarrassing 34-11 Arizona Cardinals loss, and Murray specifically had one the worst games of his football career. He threw two picks — including a pick six — and didn’t lead a drive that resulted in points until the fourth quarter (a field goal). It was horrific.
So while Murray did make the decision to choose football over a baseball career with the Oakland Athletics, fans were quick to joke about Murray switching back to baseball after that loss. He just needs the MLB lockout to end first.
