Kansas City Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes was a walking highlight-reel at the Big Slick KC charity softball game this weekend. However, his playmaking behind the plate, on the mound and in the infield wasn’t the only thing catching the attention of Chiefs Kingdom.
The Chiefs shared an image of Mahomes and Creed Humphrey on Twitter, noting that they were playing on opposing teams in the charity softball game. Fans didn’t think much of the friendly rivalry, but they took extensive notice of Mahomes’ custom Rawlings baseball mitt.

Upon closer inspection, the glove is a Rawlings Wing Tip design.
It is emblazoned with some custom accouterments like Mahomes’ No. 15 jersey number and the letters “MVP” on the opposite side. It also features a Chiefs color scheme and has an American Flag patch on it.
Mahomes grew up in a clubhouse with his father, Pat Mahomes Sr., pitching in the MLB for 11 years. Patrick Mahomes is, of course, part of the Kansas City Royals ownership group. Baseball has always been a huge part of his life and seeing his NFL career and love for baseball intersect in this glove is special for fans of baseball in Kansas City.
