Since its production in 2014, Outlander has grown an impressive global fanbase, with millions following the time-travelling drama.
However, like every show, the award-winning drama has had a few blunders throughout its years of production.
The show, which is ranked relatively high for its genre, has one specific episode that particularly missed the mark amongst fans.
According to IMDB, the show's lowest-rated episode to date is season 3's Crème De Menthe.
In the episode, which shows the aftermath of a violent confrontation, Claire follows her conscience as a surgeon, even though it could put her and Jamie's lives at risk. Meanwhile, Jamie attempts to evade the reach of the Crown as its representative close in on his illegal dealings.
Crème De Menthe follows on from episode six, where Jamie and Claire reunite after 20 years, the episode attempts to show the couple reconnecting, however many fans believe the love between Jamie and Claire seemed non-existent.
One fan said: "The show is going downhill. The love between Jamie and Claire seems to be gone, instead of passionate reunited pure love (or the Sam/Cait chemistry is gone.). The episode just didn't flow. It was 50 minutes of boring scenes."
Another added: "Diana is such an amazing writer and this episode does not show that. I know this book has a lot going on, but the writers of the show have not stayed true to the story. I feel they have strayed so far from the emotion and excitement that it feels rushed and well, not good.
"The previous seasons had that emotion, which made them so good. My advice for season four is to stick with as much of the original story as possible, don't lose the passion and emotion of the characters and be true to Diana, she is amazing and this season has not shown that!"
Speaking about the episode, one disappointed fan said: "Another episode that really did not showcase what is good about this show. We had a young man trying to get some, which is not why people watch this show, and we had a woman who believed she could predict the future.
"They went over the top on the odd stories here instead of focusing on why people watch this show."
On a brighter note, the Outlander episode that is ranked the best on IMDB is the season two finale, Dragonfly in Amber.
The episode takes its name from the second book in Diana Gabaldon's Outlander series. This episode moves between 1968 and 1746, as the Battle of Culloden, looms, and Jamie and Claire must make some life-changing decisions. It is ranked 9.5 out of 10 on IMDB.
Outlander series 1-6 are available to stream on LIONSGATE+ in the UK.
