Jake Paul 's involvement in Katie Taylor vs Amanda Serrano has been praised after a video emerged of his reaction at the end of the fight.
Serrano is managed by Paul's company Most Valuable Promotions and the YouTube star was an instrumental part in the undisputed lightweight fight being labelled the 'biggest fight in women's boxing history'.
Unfortunately for Paul, his fighter missed out on the undisputed belts as she lost a split decision to Taylor in a back and forth fight. Both women secured seven-figure paydays for the fight and will also take home shares of the pay-per-view sales.
Paul has faced heavy criticism since ditching his YouTube fame for the sweet science, but some fans have come to his defence whilst discussing the thrilling fight between Taylor and Serrano.
One user wrote: "We can all s*** off Joke Paul and we know he is a bit deluded when it comes to how far he can go in boxing but one thing for sure is that he has been instrumental in getting these two fighters their biggest pay day of their lives. So kudos for that.
Another user was in agreement, stating: "Took the words right out of my mouth. He's a bit of a d*** but truth be told he's generosity helped get Serrano where she is and has given other fighters a great payday that they never got from bigger promotions. The friendship Serrano & Paul have is something you love to see".
Paul thinks Serrano was "robbed " in the fight and turned to the official punch stats as proof. Taylor outlanded Serrano in six of the rounds, but Serrano landed 26 more punches than her counterpart over the course of the fight.

"I don't even want to talk about my opinion, obviously I think it was at least a draw," Paul said. "What I'll say publicly is Eddie and I were sitting there at the end of the fight and we were like 'oh that's probably a draw'.
"Then I'm in the ring before the decision was announced and Katie's manager/trainer that was in the corner comes up to me and says 'oh that's a draw'. So even Katie's team thinks it was a draw, but obviously the judges have it the way they scored it."
The enormity and excitement of the fight has already drawn calls for a rematch, something all parties are seemingly open for. Paul suggested Dublin as a potential location for the rematch and Taylor thinks it could sell 90,000 tickets at Croke Park.
