Fans have gone wild in south Manchester this evening following Morocco’s surprise victory over Portugal.
Crowds descended on the streets of Rusholme on Saturday (December 10) after Morocco stunned Portugal to book their spot in the semi-finals of the World Cup with a brave win.
Video shows fans inside a packed-out bar on Wilmslow Road erupt into cheer when the final whistle was blown at the Al Thumama Stadium in Qatar. Fireworks could also be heard exploding nearby.

Bus service Go North West confirmed road closures are currently in place as a result of the match. In a tweet, the company said: “Diversions are in place on the 41 CrossCity & 53 Orbits to avoid Rusholme because of the result of the Morocco vs Portugal Game. Standard Weekend diversion has been implemented early.”
It came after Cristiano Ronaldo started on the bench once more for the Selecao after being left out against Switzerland. He came on early in the second period after Youssef En-Nesyri gave the African side a half-time lead.
But he and his team-mates couldn't find a way through, though, with Ronaldo leaving the field in tears after the 1-0 defeat.
Brazil's shock exit to Croatia on penalties on Friday, a result which has led to Neymar questioning his international future, will suddenly have got the likes of the Three Lions, France and Argentina, who beat the Dutch on penalties late on Friday, dreaming of glory in Qatar.
