Draymond Green knows all about people calling for ejections for things he’s done on the court. During Thursday night’s Game 2 of the Lakers-Warriors series, however, he was on the other side of one of those questionable moments and fans couldn’t believe a Lakers player didn’t receive a stiffer punishment for what he did to the Warriors star.
In case you missed it, Lakers guard Dennis Schröder grabbed at Green’s knee while trying to round a screen. The move sent Green to the floor and led to words between the two players.
The refs reviewed the play and ended up issuing just a common foul on Schröder, which seemed to be a really light punishment when you look at the play:
Dennis Schroder pulls at Draymond Green's knee and sends him to the court.

And here was Green’s reaction:
That's common foul? Defenders should use this frequently. #NBAPlayoffs https://t.co/iGIUtQMMG6

Fans were not pleased:
Dirtiest display I’ve ever seen from Dennis. If the shoe was on the other foot Draymond would’ve gotten a flagrant 2 https://t.co/TrJeFwLQbq

Draymond would be out for game 3 if he did this 😂 https://t.co/7kO3UGquTo

Should have been a ejection honestly, Not a basketball play and could have injured him https://t.co/ykgJG3a9Ok

This is a dirty play. Like he intentionally grabbed his knee. He could’ve pulled something. https://t.co/dd1ujNnQrj

If it's the other way around, dray will be suspended for the rest of the season lmao https://t.co/IkzV3xAnp6

I’m pretty consistent with letting them play but this feels intentional and dirty https://t.co/HWA6uJLY4U
