Fans convinced Anthony Joshua was hacked after string of controversial tweets

Fans believe Anthony Joshua was hacked on Twitter after the British star made some uncharacteristic outbursts during UFC London.

The British star attended the UFC's high-profile event at the O2 Arena on Saturday alongside Derek Chisora, promoter Eddie Hearn and the company's president Dana White. During the day he was very active on social media and even aimed a controversial jibe at Amir Khan's wife.

Boxing fans are convinced Joshua had his account hacked, with one reader writing: "His account must be hacked he never spends this much time on Twitter."

Another fan agreed: "Who has got hold of his phone? Somebody own up." A fan pointed out his different behaviour: "Is this AJ the motivational speaker? Safe to say you were pretending to be who you were not all this while. Anyways, I think this is better as long as you remain in the sport of boxing."

One fan continued: "Account hacked to bits." Another claimed he enjoyed Joshua's social media activity: "I’m loving this more active on social media AJ. More of this please." A final tweeter believes another person was behind the activity: "Who’s running his account this is too funny."

Joshua had a spell of activity on Twitter on Saturday night after revealing he would be attending the UFC London event later that evening. He was asked by a fan: "AJ lad did you f*** Mrs Khan back in the day?" To which Joshua replied: "Honestly, I didn't. With all the accusations around me name I wish I did."

He was also asked by a fan during a response session: "Are you not fighting anymore?" Joshua then added: "258MGT and Matchroom Boxing should keep me more active!" Joshua is currently waiting to hear when his next fight will take place after doubts were cast by Oleksandr Usyk over their contracted rematch.

This comes after Joshua had a social media altercation with British rival Joe Joyce. 'AJ' was willing to look for an interim fight if the rematch was delayed with the likes of Deontay Wilder and Joyce shortlisted. He hit out at claims he would 'duck' a potential clash, tweeting: ""Lol ok… I’ve shared this ring with most people you see in the heavyweight division today! I boxed Joe and stopped him in one round. I’d do the same thing today! Ain’t nothing changed."

Joyce then responded: "You're having a meltdown, where’s all your belts? All those sponsorships and endorsements helping? You’re a glass cannon, quit the act, you were given everything #easymode."

The Ukrainian is currently bravely taking up arms against Russian invasion which has threatened to put any second meeting with Joshua on hold. However his promoter Hearn is confident that a sequel will take place next after Usyk was given safe passage out of Ukraine if needed to return to training camp.
