Fans have slammed ‘bully’ Eamonn Holmes after the veteran presenter asked GB News viewers to share any Phillip Schofield kiss-and-tell stories.
During Monday’s show on GB News, the 63-year-old launched into a furious tirade against the disgraced This Morning presenter, and invited people to get in touch if they had “kissed Phillip Schofield”.
“I put it to anyone watching today that if you have kissed Phillip Schofield let us know. Let us see if that figure of one grows to the figure that I believe it is probably at,” Eamonn fumed.
“He’s admitted he is a liar. You should see the emails, the texts and the messages I’ve been sent over the past week. I think he’s getting off very very lucky,” the Belfast-born presenter added.
“Like everybody else he lied to me, I was happy to stand by him until I found out that he was lying... This isn’t about him being gay, not in the slightest,” Eamonn insisted.
The veteran TV star has had a long-running feud with Phil, and after the 61-year-old announced his departure from This Morning, followed by his bombshell confession that he had an affair with a young male employee, Eamonn has frequently criticised his former colleague in a series of vicious rants on social media.
Now, fans on Instagram have accused him of taking it too far, and pleaded with him to stop his personal attacks.
“I can’t believe people talk this way about another human being the way they do in this cowardly anonymous way, it’s still bullying,” one wrote. “He has made a mistake and we are all allowed to be forgiven.”
“It’s disgusting and frightening the way he has spouted off,” another added, as they accused Eamonn of “being mad at ITV ”.
“I think you are a DISGRACE. Stop for one moment and think of what you are doing and the impact this may have on Phillip’s wife, daughters and his elderly mother. My god do you have no conscience??? I cannot believe what you have done and what you continue to do,” one furious follower commented.
“You're coming across as a massive bully. Saying it once is enough we don’t need to keep seeing your name with a new comment everyday. Becoming boring,” one added.
While another begged Eamonn to “be a good person today, instead of the vindictive, jealous, bully you have become.”
However, Eamonn did have some support from his fans, as one wrote: ”I don’t usually comment but just felt compelled to say - Well done you for speaking up Eamonn! And more importantly - Telling the truth. God bless.”
