FanDuel co-founders launch new NFT platform

The co-founders of sports platform FanDuel have launched a new non-fungible token (NFT) platform called Vault.

Nigel Eccles and Rob Jones wanted to make NFTs more accessible to a broader base of fans, by introducing a more seamless purchase experience.

The platform supports fiat currency payments via PayPal using the Solana Blockchain.

Vault lets creators curate exclusive content from music and videos, which play on the platform to VIP invitations.

In order to access each vault, fans must hold a key, with each key being a fully-tradable NFT.

Users can pay via in-app purchases with Apple Pay or credit card via the mobile app on iOS or Android, along with using crypto payments with Solana using a Phantom wallet.

Nigel Eccles, co-founder and chief executive at Vault, explained: "NFTs are an incredible unlock for artists and professional athletes — but the experience sucks for fans.

"Artists and pro athletes shouldn't be forced to choose between their mainstream fans and crypto enthusiasts, so our focus is simple: make NFTs easy to buy and use.

"On Vault, music and videos play natively on our platform, and we offer three ways to buy - via PayPal, in-app purchases, and crypto purchases - so all fans can participate."
