FanDuel, North America’s premier online gaming company, announced Friday a new partnership with the Professional Women’s Hockey League (PWHL), becoming an official sportsbook partner and exclusive in-app streaming partner in the U.S.
FanDuel will stream up to 90 regular-season PWHL games and playoffs live on the FanDuel app
According to the news release, this collaboration offers hockey fans unrivaled access to the PWHL, “with FanDuel streaming up to 90 regular-season PWHL games and playoffs live on the FanDuel app.”
Fans will be able to both watch and wager on their favorite teams and athletes throughout the PWHL season. All-in-one-place offerings include player prop bets, novelty markets, and same game parlays.
Additionally, FanDuel Group (FG) operates FanDuel TV, its cable television network and FanDuel TV+, its leading direct-to-consumer OTT platform. FG has a presence across all 50 states with approximately 17 million customers and 25 retail locations.
Starting at the beginning of the season, fans will see the sportsbook as an integral part of PWHL games. The 2024-25 season will feature a total of 90 games, with each team playing 30 regular-season matchups. Of course, the expanded schedule is an increase of six games per team from the league’s inaugural season.
“FanDuel is proud to partner with the PWHL and support the league’s incredible athletes,” said Dale Hooper, General Manager of FanDuel Canada.
“This partnership is about creating a new era of fan engagement — one that brings hockey closer to fans while helping grow the visibility of women’s professional sports.”
PWHL teams are based in Boston, Minnesota, Montreal, New York, Ottawa, and Toronto
Furthermore, FanDuel is prioritizing responsible play across all betting-eligible sporting events.
Gamblers can decide how much time they want to spend on the app, the maximum amount for deposits, review wagering resources, and other helpful features.
FanDuel’s deposit limits and wager limits facilitate responsible gaming in the betting community.
The PWHL is comprised of six teams in Boston, Minnesota, Montreal, New York, Ottawa, and Toronto. Bettors are eligible to place wagers on each team.
With this partnership, the operator reinforces its leadership as the best sportsbook for fans to engage with their favorite teams and athletes, bringing them closer to the action and women’s professional ice hockey than ever before.
