Every now and again fans take their love of sports a step too far. Ben Simmons was witness to that Monday ahead of a preseason game when one person showed him just how much he loved him. Yes, it may have been a bit too much.
Ahead of a Nets preseason game against the 76ers, Simmons’s old team, cameras caught the former All-Star talking to a fan in the stands and the guard told the person recording, “Show ’em your tattoo.”
Sure enough, the fan wearing Simmons’s No. 10 jersey pulled it down to reveal a massive tattoo of Simmons’s face on his chest. Simmons gave a look to the camera that could be interpreted as either a cry for help or a “this is hilarious.” Either way, he showed some love to the passionate fan and threw him a shirt before walking off.
