Famous GAA songster Rory Gallagher joked he will be wearing a half-and-half Donegal Senegal jersey when England play tomorrow.
Rory’s song Jimmy’s Winning Matches was a smash hit with Donegal fans when the county’s footballers won the All-Ireland in 2012.
Rory was living in Lanzarote at the time and the song was originally about his mate Jimmy from Senegal and called Jimmy’s Selling Watches.

But Rory, the former singer with 90s rock group The Revs, tweaked the lyrics to create a GAA anthem about Donegal gaelic football manager Jim McGuinness.
Jimmy’s team Senegal is winning matches at the World Cup and Rory last night sent wishes to his old friend’s country.
Rory, 43, told the Irish Mirror: “Jimmy’s still a legend in Lanzarote. You can’t go to the island without having a photo with Jimmy.
“I live in Scotland now so I don’t see him as much.
“He is a lovely fella, a great character. I’m Irish, married to a Scottish woman, my mate’s from Senegal, so I don’t think I’ll be supporting England.
“I’ll be wearing a half-and-half Donegal Senegal jersey.
“I think Senegal will win it on penalties. England always lose on penalties.”
Rory lives in Edinburgh with wife Cara, 40, and their boys Aidan, seven, and two-year-old Shay. But he is a co-partner in his new Lanzarote pub called Rory’s Corner Bar.
Rory said: “Between doing Facebook Live events online, I fly to Lanzarote a few weekends a month.
“We have lots lined up before Christmas so anyone getting some winter sun can sing along to the World Cup with us.”
