One of Curry Mile’s most popular restaurants has suddenly announced its closure ‘until further notice’.
Mughli, on Wilmslow Road in Rusholme, is one of the areas longest-standing eateries, having started in 1991. It usually can serve diners at its own restaurant, or at home via collection or delivery.
It is not yet known why the charcoal grill spot has closed. However, it has promised fans that it will keep them updated — and will reach out to those with bookings.

“Closed until further notice, for dining in, takeaway or delivery… sorry guys! Keep eyes and ears posted on our social channels for updates,” a tweet from the restaurant said, which was posted at 8:15pm on Thursday night (December 15).
“If you had a booking with us, we’ll get in touch,” they added. It prompted a wave of well-wishers, expressing their hope that everything ‘was okay’ at the restaurant.
On its website, customers are unable to reserve a table in December — but can do so in the first week of January.
