Family tribute to 'Legend of the Swan' Dylan Bacon who was stabbed to death

The family of a man who was stabbed to death in Old Swan have said he was 'loved by everyone' in the area.

Dylan Bacon was found on Rock Grove with serious injuries at around 8.55pm on Monday, March 14. Emergency services desperately tried to save Dylan, issuing CPR, but he was pronounced dead at the scene.

A post mortem has been carried out and his cause of death has been confirmed as a stab wound to the chest. A 25-year-old woman was also found in a nearby property with stab wounds at the time of Dylan's death.

Officers said she was taken to hospital for treatment for her injuries. She was later released from hospital and taken into police custody on suspicion of murder.

Merseyside police yesterday revealed they have charged the 25-year-old, Learna Cheng, of Rock Grove, with the murder of Dylan Bacon. She is due to appear at Liverpool Crown Court on Friday, March 18.

Dylan's family issued a tribute to the 39-year-old through Merseyside police, they said: "Dylan was loved by everyone in Old Swan. You couldn’t think about the Swan without Dylan coming to mind.

"He had the most infectious smile and energy. He was gifted with the bluest eyes and dimples, and was always available for a picture! The stories of Dylan will live on, we love you so much ‘One kiss is all it takes’."

Bouquets of flowers have been left at the cordon where police remain at the murder investigation scene. Tributes left on bunches of flowers describe Dylan as 'one of a kind.'

One of the notes reads: "Dylan, can't believe it. You will be missed by everyone. You was one of a kind. Love from Corey." Another said: "To Dylan, RIP my mate. Truly devastated. The Swan won't be the same without you, fly high mate, love Kerrie."

A third handwritten note says: "Thinking of your family Dil. True legend. RIP my mate love you always." With another reading: "RIP Dylan. Was only with you last week. We can't believe it, your banter will be missed. Gone too soon. From Graham, Lorraine, Karen, Kim and the rest of us."

Signed off with a row of kisses, another tribute said: "RIP Dylan, the Swan won't be the same without you." Left on a bouquet of tulips, another note says: "RIP Dylan you will be missed mate."
