A grandmother was in for a shock after clocking what she believes to be the ' ghost of a baboon' in a 'freaky' family photo, with the apparent apparition seen hovering above her sister-in-law's head.
Tracey Phelps Pomeroy had been enjoying a family get-together at Kabuto Japanese Steak House, Indianapolis, US, in celebration of her sister Tina Jordan's birthday, when the group decided to take a few snaps.
One week later, the 52-year-old looked back over the pics and saw an "odd-looking" figure hovering above sister-in-law Connie Phelps' head.
Tracey was stricken by the unexpected figure and says family members were also 'taken aback' after she pointed it out.

The creepy photo shows Connie, 62, seated next to her husband Mike Phelps, 65, at the restaurant, with the outline of what appears to be a large monkey floating above her.
Noting how detailed the figure is, retired insurance agent Tracey isn't convinced that the strange shape could be the result of "just steam or mist", and believes they are looking at the spirit of a deceased baboon.
The mum-of-one recalled: "It was my sister's birthday so my family and I went to a restaurant that does Hibachi grill Asian food.
"We were just taking random shots at the family get-together and it was about a week later before anyone ever recognised that mist that looks like a monkey or a baboon, it looks like a baboon to me.
"I pointed this out to my family. Everyone was a little taken back. It’s just so detailed in form. Sure, it could be just smoke and lighting. But every time I look at it I’m just amazed".
She added: "It kind of looks like Einstein. I would love for everyone to see it and to judge for themselves, they can believe it's just smoke or can think it's something else whatever, I just find it very interesting".
Tracey has since shared the eerie pic online, where one commenter remarked that it gave "chills" while others felt they could see an elderly bearded man, a Viking, or even Father Christmas.
One person advised Tracey to research the significance of the "baboon spirit", while another pondered, "That's a very good, amazing picture. I also wonder if it could be a person?"
