Family shares video of horrific uni hazing that left student brain damaged and paralysed

Horrifying footage has emerged of the horrendous univeristy frat-house hazing of a student which left him blind and unable to walk or speak.

Danny Santulli, 19, stopped breathing and suffered brain damage after downing vodka and beer before passing out on the sofa of his fraternity house at the University of Missouri, US.

Danny's family are now demanding charges be brought against two individuals involved in the events of that night in October 2021.

Having already sued 23 people, including the fraternity, the family want to sue Sam Gandhi and Alec Wetzler and they want felony charges brought against the two students.

Danny has been left in a wheelchair and needing round-the-clock care as a result of the 'Pledge Dad Reveal Night' at Phi Gamma Delta.

He was forced to down a 1.75 litre bottle of Tito's vodka while beer was force fed to him through a tube.

Surveillance video footage that Good Morning America obtained shows Danny being led shirtless down a staircase of the frat house along with other pledges.

He is later fed beer through a tube, and is shown passed out after falling backwards onto a table as well as slumped half on a couch.

Video footage also shows his frat mates carrying him out and rushing him to hospital after realising how serious his condition was.

By the time they got him to hospital, he had stopped breathing long enough to cause severe brain damage.

Danny spent months in a rehabilitation centre following that night, but is now home with his family in Missouri, where his mum cares for him.

Wetzler has now been charged with misdemeanor providing alcohol to a minor and is no longer a student at the university.

Gandhi, however, has not been charged and is still studying.

The family lawsuit claims Gandhi saw how serious a state Danny was in but did nothing about it until it was far too late.

Danny's mum gave a tearful interview to Good Morning America on Thursday, saying none of the boys ever called the emergency number 911.

She said: "Just the fact that nobody... they knew he was in distress. His lips were blue and nobody called 911. I mean, six year olds call 911."

Danny will need care for the rest of his life.

His mum went on: "He's still not talking or walking, he's in a wheelchair. He lost his vision. But he hears us and he knows we're there. We'll just keep fighting - we're not going to give up hope."

Danny's sister said she feels "sick to her stomach" that the people involved in harming her brother are still "walking around campus acting like they did nothing wrong".

His father added that he would like to see the pair with felony D's.

According to the lawsuit, the pair wished to make it a night the "pledges wouldn't forget" so they filled the house with "cocaine, marijuana and alcohol".

And the Daily Mail reviewed documents that described how the pledges had "bottles of Tito's taped to their hands".

The lawsuit also claims the university had already cautioned the boys for another hazing incident previously.
