The family of a young man who died in a horror smash have paid an emotional tribute to him. Jacob Holden, 23, had been driving his Vauxhall Vivaro at the time of the crash on October 28.
According to police, the van collided with a tree and Jacob, also known as Jay, was tragically pronounced dead at the scene in the Malpas area of Cheshire. An investigation has been launched.
His family are being supported by specially trained officers, Cheshire Live reports. In a statement, they said: "Our family have been left truly devastated by the tragic events of last Friday evening.

"Jay for his 23 years touched the hearts of so many lives across all generations. The outpouring of love and affection to our family has shown what a truly special young man he was to so many.
"He loved his family and friends with all his heart. He was a caring, gentle, kind soul who made time for everyone. Is inherent goodness is rare to find.
"Jay worked hard and had the most amazing work ethic but he also knew how to enjoy life to the fullest. His smile lit up all our lives. Our hearts are simply broken."
