A "strong and independent" mum-of-11 has died just months after being diagnosed with cervical cancer.
Sharon Lawless, 39, was surrounded by family when she passed away last Friday.
She leaves behind six sons and five daughters aged between 4 and 22.
The mum, from Toxteth, started feeling tired and suffering from stomach pains in October before being diagnosed with stage four cancer three months later.
Her 26-year-old sister, Megan Povey, told the Liverpool Echo : "She was just tired a lot and she was getting stomach pains. At first she didn't think anything of it.
"We just thought she was unwell and then obviously it was prolonged and prolonged.
"She was going to the doctors to find out what it could be. She always suffered from anaemia, so they put her on iron tablets to see if that's what it was about."
Sharon had been determined to fight her cancer diagnosis from day one, she added.
Megan said: "She was diagnosed in January with cervical cancer and it was actually at stage four.
"It came as a massive shock but from day one Sharon had always said she was going to fight it no matter what."
She was told it had spread to her bones after breaking her leg on the way to a hospital appointment in April, when she had been due to start radiotherapy and chemotherapy.
After spending seven weeks in Aintree Hospital, she was referred to a cancer centre and told it was too aggressive for treatment.
Megan said: "They basically said 'it's terminal cancer and the cancer is very aggressive in Sharon's body, especially for her being so young and she's only got a short time left.'"
Sharon returned home in June to spend time with family and a GoFundMe page was set up to give her the "best memories" with her children.
Paying tribute, Megan said: "Everyone always remembers her as having the kids around her all the time and being strong, independent and a brilliant mum."
She has decided to keep the page going to help towards funeral costs and supporting Sharon's children in the future.
Megan wrote on the fundraiser: "This is the most heartbreaking thing we have ever had to do as a family but telling 11 children their mum has passed away is the hardest thing in the world."
The page has raised over £2,400 of its £3000 goal at the time of writing.
Megan added: "She fought till the very end and I will forever be proud of her."
