A NEW luxury business has been started on a Scottish island.
The family-owned Isle of Arran Candle Company is hand-crafting natural scented candles for sale online.
The firm's owners say their range of plant-based candles is inspired by their surroundings on Arran.
Co-founder Daniel Steel said: "Arran is not just our home – it’s our inspiration.
"We’re passionate about giving back by sourcing local materials whenever possible and engaging with local businesses and suppliers.
"We want our products to embody the island’s spirit and provide our customers with a little piece of Arran, no matter where they are in the world."
The candles are all in frosted glass jars, which the creators say is meant to evoke the sea glass found around Arran.
