Family-run, independent retailer announces shock closure of its Glasgow store

An independent retailer has announced the shock closure of its Glasgow store.

A1 Toys on Parnie Street – which is near the Merchant City – revealed the news on social media on Wednesday, August 28.

In the post, the store – which specialises in toys, games, and collectables and is known for its bright yellow shop front – said it will be closing down.

It is unclear why the company has decided to shut its shop, however, they have said a "closing down sale" has started.

In the post, the store said: "A1 Toys Parnie Street is closing down.

"Our closing down sale starts today with 25% off the ticket price on all stock.

"Closing down offer only applicable in-store.

"Opening hours may change but full details will follow regarding this.

"Static Games is unaffected and continues to trade as normal."
