Family pays tribute to 'hardworking' man struck by motorbike in Lambeth

Rahman Shah was killed after he was hit by a motorbike in Lambeth - (Met Police)

A “hardworking family man” was killed after he was struck by a motorbike in Lambeth, police have said.

Detectives are appealing for witnesses after a Honda motorbike collided with Rahman Shah, 57, as he was walking on Kennington Park Road at around 3.16pm on December 18.

Emergency services rushed to the scene and provided first aid to the pedestrian, who was taken to hospital.

But Mr Shah died three days later on December 21.

Paying tribute, his family said: “He was a very intelligent, educated, and hardworking family man.

“He had the answer to everything. His interests were in education, poetry and society. He was the only child and bought pride in his family name.

“Shah was the most calm, gentle person you can come across.”

The rider of the motorcycle stopped at the scene and assisted police with their enquiries.

Witnesses or anyone with any information or dash cam footage in relation to the incident should contact the witness line on 020 8543 5157 or call police on 101 or post on X @MetCC quoting 4458/18Dec.
