Property developer Magnolia Quality Development Corporation (MQDC) is opening the first of its Mulberry Grove The Forestias Villas residences on Dec 1.
The company plans to showcase a new concept in home design that allows multiple villas to be connected together so the extended families of several generations can live closely together, while still enjoying the privacy of living independently in their own home.
"The concept is inspired by the way families always lived in Thailand -- in connected homes with multiple generations of the same family living next to each other. Modern urban lifestyle needs have made that increasingly difficult, and Mulberry Grove aims to help families reconnect," said Chakrit Hassarangsee, senior vice-president of MQDC.
Mr Chakrit said the company has received a lot of interest in this concept.
Mulberry Grove Villas have been designed in three sizes, ranging from four to six bedrooms. Families can decide to purchase a combination of home types to create a cluster of different-sized homes that can be connected by short walkways, separated by trees and other natural screens for greater privacy.
Roongroj Chongsujipan, another MQDC senior vice-president, said the extra-large villa has around 1,700 square metres of floor space and is priced at roughly 310 million baht.
The large villas have 1,200 sq m of floor space and cost roughly 220 million baht, whereas mid-sized villas have 1,000 sq m of floor space and are priced at 185 million.
"We have seen a lot of excitement around the Mulberry Grove Villas as well as Six Senses Residences. Total sales of residences across the multiple branded projects at The Forestias has reached 22 billion baht," said Kittiphun Ouiyamaphun, project director of The Forestias.
